A Computer Application is a collection of ideas, human ideas and ways of doing things, expressed to a dumb machine through a mode of communication that suits the idea. -- Kofi Owusu-Ansah.

With the knowledge that a computer program cannot perform any better than the original ideas that were input into it, we at Knight Systems Incorporated, dedicate our time to every computer application we design and build. To us every software is a story of our everyday communication with the computer and we always will make the story easy to understand by the user so that in the end we all grow to love our story.

Every application developed at Knight Systems Incorporated has the end user being the main focus, so it comes to mind; if the user doesn't feel good with the program it will then be as good as deleted.

Our applications range from industrial, accounting, sales, organizational management systems, personnel management systems, office applications, educational software and scientific applications. Yet they all have one thing in common: they are cut out to suite the user.

We always go the extra mile to make the user more efficient with our applications than they would have been with other applications.

At Knight Systems Incorporated, we stand apart from the norm, so that you will always be above the norm.

Tutorial: consuming Twitter's real-time stream API in Python E-mail
Sunday, 09 May 2010 08:49

veral impressive new features, including a new streaming API that will give desktop client applications real-time access to the user's message timeline. The new streaming API was announced last week at Twitter's Chirp conference, where it was made available to conference attendees on-site for some preliminary experimentation. Twitter opened it up to the broader third-party developer community on Monday so that programmers can begin testing it to offer informed feedback.

This tutorial will show you how to consume and process data from Twitter's new streaming API. The code examples, which are written in the Python programming language, demonstrate how to establish a long-lived HTTP connection with PyCurl, buffer the incoming data, and process it to perform the basic message display functions of a Twitter client application. We will also take a close look at how the new streaming API differs from the existing polling-based REST API.
